Quicken Loans joined several other Detroit companies to help Motown celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Motown Museum in Detroit to help keep the memories and history of Motown alive. The star-studded event at the Detroit Marriot was hosted by comedian Sinbad and we heard words of inspiration from Barry Gordy, Jesse Jackson, and a special video from President Barack Obama conveying his well wishes.

The audience danced and sang along to the sounds of the Temptations, Aretha Franklin and stood to their feet when Stevie Wonder asked Kid Rock to join him on stage. Quicken Loans and Fathead.com are very proud of their commitment to make a difference in the City of Detroit.

Saturday, November 14 was not only a beautiful Autumn day, but was also the perfect opportunity to help those in need at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit. Sixteen volunteers came out from In-House Realty, the Focus team and Mortgage Operations.  Our enthusiastic volunteers helped to serve lunch to grateful families. 

Can entrepreneurship thrive in an economy formerly dominated by industrial muscle?  That was the question posed to Matt Cullen, Rock Ventures Chief Operating Officer; Randal Charlton, executive director, TechTown; and Chanell Scott, CEO, Guffly.com during a roundtable discussion held Nov. 6 at the “Time Project Detroit House,” located near Detroit’s Indian Village community.
