An Actioned Packed Day of Summer Fun with The Boys & Girls Club of Flint
On August 3rd, Quicken Loans and Fathead teamed up once again with the Detroit Pistons to host a summer festival and day of kickball fun with the Boys & Girls Club of Flint.
More than 400 Boys & Girls Club members enjoyed bounce houses, a bungee run, inflatable basketball hoops, an obstacle course, and carnival games in celebration of the partnership between the Pistons and the Boys & Girls Clubs in Michigan. There was also a special appearance and opening ceremony with The Mayor of Flint, Dayne Walling, Pistons ambassadors, Pistons mascot Hooper, and members of the dance team, Automotion. In March, the team held the Pistons Care Telethon which raised more than $350,000 in support of Boys & Girls Clubs.
Quicken Loans DIFF makers helped by setting up before the event, playing in a kickball tournament with B&G Club members, and assisting with carnival style games and activities. Patrick McInnis, CEO of Fathead, who’s a Flint native, spent the day with the kids, and then grilled more than 500 hotdogs and hamburgers for everyone that attended the BBQ style picnic!
